spin·or

 (spĭn′ər)
n.
A mathematical object associated with group representations, often used in theoretical physics to model certain topological properties of space. Spinors resemble vectors but change sign (that is, they are multiplied by -1) when rotated 360 degrees.

[spin + -or (on the model of tensor vector).]

"directional" states as spinors, i.e., spin-1/2 states,
With [gamma]-matrices now taken as a four-vector, the object [[gamma].sup.[mu]][[partial derivative].sub.[mu]] is a scalar, the meaning of which is that the Dirac equation will now accommodate two types of spinors "the usual Dirac bispinor" and a new "scalar-bispinor", i.e.:
Therefore, the second-order differential is transformed to the solvable models with the exact solutions; it means that the relativistic energy eigenvalues can be gotten based on the nonrelativistic models, and also the spinors will be related to the orthogonal polynomials according to the nonrelativistic models.
Let c : Cl(T[[??].sub.t]) [right arrow] End(S) be the usual representation of the Clifford algebra on the bundle of spinors S, so that
La teoria de twistores, desarrollada junto a Rindler en los dos volumenes de Spinors and Space-Time, habilita un espacio-tiempo no-local que explicaria mejor los fenomenos cuanticos de no-localidad tipo Aspect (38).
Then, we will give some facts about restrictions of spinors on a surface into a 4-dimensional space and deduce the particular spinor fields with which we will work in the sequel.
In the corresponding double group including spinors, the CB of the high temperature cubic phase is split by SOC into twofold degenerate states and fourfold degenerate states [41].
