(ôr′əl) or U·ralsk (yo͝o-rălsk′, o͞o-rälsk′) A city of northwest Kazakhstan on the Ural River south-southeast of Samara, Russia. Founded by Cossacks c. 1622, it is a processing and manufacturing center.
