The other small-scale manganese-iron occurrence in the Filipstad area is the Harstigen mine, famous for its classic rhodonite crystals and as the type locality of the rare beryllium minerals trimerite and harstigite, and the manganese arsenates brandtite and flinkite. The first natural lead crystals were found and described from this small mine too.
