Rathke has defined the uncinate process (UP) as a bony protuberance in previous century.

Degenerative changes in the spine with osteophytes from the posterior part of the vertebral body or uncinate process may intrude into the neural canal, causing myelopathy.

The uppermost portion of the uncinate process may sometimes be pneumatized, & can cause obstruction of the infundibulum.

Especially, lesions without major artery and vein involvement, those localized in the pancreatic uncinate and neck part or ampullary lesions, mucinous cystic neoplasms and intra-papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) are ideal for laparoscopic resection.

The packs are then removed, and lidocaine 1% with epinephrine 1:200,000 is injected into the uncinate process and root of the middle turbinate.

Before the surgical procedure was started, the middle turbinate, uncinate, and anterior ethmoid bulla were injected with 1% lignocaine with adrenaline 1: 100,000 concentrations.

In the FXS group, there was a correlation for lower fractional anisotropy values in the uncinate fasciculi with lower nonverbal development quotient.

One patient underwent enucleation of the tumor that was located in the uncinate lobe of the pancreas.

The location of the lesion was categorized as falling within the head, uncinate, genu, body, or tail of pancreas.

A computed tomographic exam of the abdomen revealed acute interstitial pancreatitis with a small discrete fluid collection in the uncinate process (Figure 2).

A soft tissue band was present from the defect to the remnant of the uncinate process.

CT showed pancreatic tail atrophy from prior necrosis, a new area of necrosis measuring 7.1 x 4.9 x 4.9 cm at the superior aspect of the pancreas body and a new 2.3 x 2.2 x 2.8 cm fluid collection inferior-posterior to the uncinate process.
