- Chiefly of a woman: negligent or lazy with regard to personal appearance or household cleanliness; slovenly, untidy, dowdy. Also in "trollopy-looking" adj. Now rare (Scottish regional in later use).

- Of a woman: sexually promiscuous or provocative; tarty.
