Summary: ABU DHABI -- By the end of March, the Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi will provide some 6,700 parking spaces to residents in the densely populated Tourist Club area in the Capital, while a number of multi-storey parkings will be ready by the end of 2013.
"We are conducting studies about the number of parkings available in each area of the city, so accordingly we will come up with multi-storey parking buildings, Al Hammadi said.
On Sunday, the DoT officials unveiled a paid parking machine, 'Mawaqif', in front of Abu Dhabi Mall, which is supposedly a highly crowded area with cars being parked in the middle of service roads, footpaths and even on the sides of the roads.
NEW research by online parking portal YourParkINGSPACE.co.uk reveals the parking habits that make motorists most angry.
The study found that parking in a Blue Badge bay without a disability was the parking practice that made most motorists see red.
It was very closely followed by motorists parking too close to another vehicle.
