1. noun, slang A shortening of "kleptomaniac," a person who steals compulsively. Tom's a total klepto. He always pockets something whenever we're in a store.
2. adjective, slang Describing or indicating such a person. It turns out my klepto ex-girlfriend had been stealing things from my apartment for months.
3. verb, slang To steal (something) furtively or surreptitiously. He told me how he had kleptoed dozens of phones and wallets from unlocked cars around the city.
