The planned route has taken the intrepid duo via Marassi Beach in Diyar, Nurana Island, Northern City, Zallaq,
Hadd Al Bahrain, Al Dar Port before moving on to Askar today.

Hadd tourism project, which will stretch over 1.8 million sqm, comes within a comprehensive strategy to develop the tourism sector in the Sultanate and contribute to the efforts made by the government to diversify sources of national economy and maximize the utilization of tourism sites."
Within the terms of the agreeA[degrees] ment, the Qatari Diar Ras al
Hadd Development Company will develop the ecoA[degrees]themed Ras al
Hadd project, which covers a land area of approximately 1.848mn sqm, with an estimated project budget of RO250mn.
The company is tasked with renewing and extending the existing air navigation systems at Muscat and Salalah Airportsas well asinstalling air navigation systems at the new regional airports in Sohar, Ras Al
Hadd, Al Duqm and Adam.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications is also planning to expand Muscat and Salalah International airports and will build additional airports in Adam, Ras Al
Hadd. Two more new airports in Sohar and Duqm are close to completion.

Sea turtles nest along the length of the Omani coast from Musandam in the north to Dhofar in the south, but some areas are more popular nesting sites: Ra's al
Hadd (the most easterly point of Oman) is famous for its green turtle nesting population, whilst Masirah Island attracts the loggerhead in great number, and on the Daymaniyat Islands the hawksbill turtles set the record.
The company previously signed a preliminary agreement with Oman ministry of tourism to finance and construct a mixed-use property at Ras Al
Hadd in the Sur district.
The beaches between Muscat and Ras Al
Hadd, the desert south of Bidiyyah or the highest mountain peak of Oman, Jebel Shems, are quiet and relaxing places to set up a tent and enjoy the natural surroundings.
